Bandung Philharmonic's harpsichordist, Yuty Lauda, plays the digital harpsichord purchased by the Bandung Philharmonic Foundation.

Have you ever bounced gleefully in a new pair of tennis shoes, believing you could run faster or jump higher? If so, you may begin to imagine the joy of playing on a brand new instrument. Nothing compares to hearing the unexpected beauty of the sound or the effortless feel of the touch of a new instrument.

“I never dreamed of playing on such a wonderful instrument. This means we can truly play the way the music was intended to be, especially since this is the only one in all of Indonesia.” – Yuty Lauda, harpsichordist for Bandung Philharmonic

Past donations to the Bandung Philharmonic Foundation helped purchase this Roland Classic Keyboard for the Bandung Philharmonic. December 2, 2018 marks the instrument’s premiere performance as a part of Handel's Messiah on the orchestra's holiday concert. Thank you to everyone who supports our mission! You make a difference in the lives of musicians and the quality of their music.
