Today, second-grade students in Chicago south side's Kozminski Academy received hand written letters from students in Indonesia's Mutiara Nusantara Independent School. The students are participating in the Bandung Philharmonic Education Program's Pen Pal Program. Building friendships and cultural understanding from opposite sides of the globe helps the students realize they have more in common with each other than they previously thought.

Director of Education, Michael Hall, will hand deliver the Chicago letters to students in Bandung, Indonesia in later November.
